Where To Park?
One of my frustrations of living in Hong Kong is the lack of parks where baby can play. Since most flats here do not have a garden (one plant doesn't count as a garden), I have to make it a point to bring baby to see more greens. Buildings she can see everyday but parks and trees, not really. Don't get me wrong Hong Kong is one of those places that are diverse and has its own share of outdoors (like Sai Kung) but, that means trekking to far away land.
The few parks we've been too are Kowloon Park in Tsimshatsui (it's near Shakey's hehe), Hong Kong Park (beside Pacific Place),
and Victoria Park (fave hangout of Indonesian maids). Oh and there's Hong Kong Wetland Park in New Territories (maybe I should bring baby there some day).
I miss going to something like Central Park in New York where something simple like sitting on the grass (and the photo op) could be fun. I must admit my baby has not sat on grass yet. Maybe I should let her walk or crawl on the grass at the Happy Valley Race Track... not a good idea!
For those living in Hong Kong and need more advice about where to go, what to do with baby, the three most helpful sites are:
Prampushers in Hong Kong (too bad it's not updated so much anymore, Geobaby and Asiaxpat.
Now the question is what to wear when going to the park? Hmm...
