Baby Flicks

When I was pregnant, I tried amusing myself with films about giving birth and babies. I dared not watch those documentaries about actual labor so I resorted to comedies. Here are some recommendations of what films to watch before junior comes out. Click on the Watch it links to see the trailer. Sit back, relax, enjoy and don't forget the popcorn!

1. License To Wed (2007)
starring Mandy Moore, John Krasinski and Robin Williams

I'm not a fan of Mandy Moore's acting and think Robin Williams is not so funny anymore but I like the scene where Mandy and John had to practice parenting with robot babies at the mall. Watch it!

2. Knocked Up (2007)
starring Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl

Okay, getting pregnant from a one-night stand can be a bit traumatizing but this film could give you a glimmer of hope if it happens to you. Watch it!

3. Juno (2007)
Starring Ellen Page, Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman

This wasn't an Oscar award winner for nothing. Okay, I was twice the age of Ellen when I gave birth but that didn't mean I was ready for it (no one can ever be) so this film gave good insight. Don't worry I didn't put up baby for adoption! Watch it!

4. Fast Track or The Ex (2006)
Starring Amanda Peet, Zach Braff and Jason Bateman

This was my hubby and I's fave. We both laughed when they didn't know what to name thier baby and I found it hilarious when Amanda called another baby, dipshit. Watch it!

All- Time Favorites:

1. Meet the Fockers (2004)
starring Ben Stiller, Dustin Hoffman and Robert De Niro

Although this film is about getting married and not pregnant, I just loved the lil baby in the film and the part with Robert De Niro and his fake breasts.

2. Three Men and a Baby (1985)
Starring Tom Selleck, Steve Guttenberg and Ted Danson

Okay forget about the ghost in the film, it's a bit cute to see men deal with a newborn baby.

3. Nine Months (1995)
starring Hugh Grant, Julianne Moore and Tom Arnold

I must admit that Hugh Grant is the reason why this movie is in my list! Enough said.
