In the Summertime

We are leaving for Manila tomorrow and that means I have to start packing. It's not only my daughter's first time in Manila, but also her first time to travel. Do you hear my heartbeat? It's just gonna be Mommy and baby so let's see how that's gonna go. I'm lucky it's only a one and a half hour flight.

Okay since the weather will be change from 18 (HK) to 34 (Manila) degrees. That means I have to bring summer clothes. In Hong Kong, we are still shifting from wearing winter and spring clothes. So that means a whole new wardrobe. Do I have time to shop online? No! The shipment won't make it... unless I have it delivered to Manila? I'm really starting to sound like Becky Bloomwood of Confessions of a Shopaholic!

So, I checked this new site Tuttibella.com and I am in love... these are my babies' summer must-have list. I think we need to travel more often (more excuses to shop!)

1. Swimsuit by Kate Mack. I prefer my daughter to wear one-piece swimsuits. First, she will have her whole teenage and adult life to look sexy and now's not the time. Second, she doesn't have boobs yet. Third, she doesn't have abs or the waistline. So why bother? Let babies look like babies and not like whores. I love the idea of getting her a cover-up too.

2. Flipflops by Paul Frank. Okay, you don't really need to get the Paul Frank one. There are several flip flop brands for babies like Havaianas of course (but she already has one). Although flipflops is not really recommended for babies' feet, maybe you can just put them on for the photo op?

3. Leggings by Eye Spy. I love this outfit. Enough said.

4. T-shirt by Mine Fine Sally. Cute shirt for a cute baby. Don't you love Charlie Brown? My daughter acts like Linus with his blankie.

5. Capris by Luna Luna. I love this lil sailor look for her. Would look great with a nice hat.

My list can go on and on but I would be needing more space in my luggage for my stuff. It's the first time I'll be traveling and having to pack LESS to give way to my daughter's paraphernalia. Oh well, I can just shop in Manila (wink)!
