My fave colors for this summer are coral and purple. Those were also the colors of the dresses my daughter wore on her birthday. I haven't been looking at bags recently so I felt I needed a dose of Purseblog, Bagsnob and all my fave shopping sites to see what new bags are out.
Let's start with Rebecca Minkoff. I went through this Minkette (what they call fans of Rebecca Minkoff in Purseforum) stage and just felt I had to grab my hands on one of her bags. I ordered a wine matinee but didn't get it and then later on, I finally got a black basketweave. The quality of the leather is really nice, even my husband likes it but it's not really an IT bag for me. Good for work though since it's black. Rebecca's spring/summer line includes a lot of studs, now this is creating a bit of a buzz and does not look anything near plain or boring. And, her purple bags are called grape. Mmm... juicy!
Summer is not complete without Bottega Venetta. The quality of BV bags are fantastic and the leather is just so soft! This is actually not my style but in Hong Kong, if you are carrying BV, that is a status symbol. If you are not excited by their browns and beige, why not try getting an orange- hued hobo?
And there's Marc by Marc Jacobs. Some of his bags are just hit or miss. I bought one black bag from his line and rarely used it. But, this industrial looking tote with floral prints is appealing to me. It looks sweeter than the Longchamp bag I'm using for baby and perfect for that trip to the beach.
If totes are not your thing, there's also a patched leather bag by MJ as well, this style actually reminds me of Miu Miu. I swear they look similar. Anyway, this bag is more versatile. Perfect for the day at the mall with baby or even at work when wearing white and khaki.
I've always had the heart for Pucci. I'm the prints and colors kind of girl so Pucci has always been in my must-have list. I remember just drooling outside the window of their shop in Milan! Oh how I wish I could be there right now...
Okay, I know this doesn't look anywhere near coral or purple to you. I am not color blind but I have been setting my eyes on a Jimmy Choo bag for a while, especially when they were on sale (hated it that I lost my job then!). But, now that I am back to work, it would be the perfect time to get one since this bag is not exactly best for going out with baby. Oh! Can't wait for payday...
