Mmm... my mouth is watering for cupcakes again! I have been obsessing about it since my daughter's first birthday. In fact, last week I dreamt about different colored cupcakes and ended up eating twice in Babycakes. Can you believe that?
Since baby has a bad cough and I am not so keen on celebrating mother's day by lining up in a restaurant for buffet or set meal, my hubby and I are having a lazy day at home watching pirated DVDs from Shenzen. And since my mom is miles away in San Fran, we are just talking on Skype. New York Times mentioned that this Mother's Day, people are spending less... just like last year's Christmas. I blame it on Lehman Brothers!
But, that doesn't mean I have to sulk for not celebrating mama's day the traditional way... all I have to do is get myself my cupcakes! Yey! And since, I can't be bothered to go all the way to Hong Kong island, I had to find out where I can buy them in Kowloon. Good thing I found out about Le Petits in Elements. Oooh, can't wait!
And since I am in a cupcake frenzy, I have this goal to try all the bakeshops selling them in Hong Kong (okay, maybe not all!)
Next cupcakes to try:
Sprinkles, as recommended by a friend. Checked their website online and have to order them in advance and pick them up in Sheung Wan.
Sift. Already ate in their quaint shop in SoHo but have not tried the cupcakes. Perhaps I should schedule my next meeting there!
Complete Deelite. Bought my hubby's birthday cake from them before and it was great. Too bad we left it in the taxi going home after the party.
Gosh! I wonder how many calories are there in each cupcake if I have to try them all... maybe I should get myself some Reductil tabs while I am at it.
Ciao! I am on my way to sugar land... (Hmm... maybe I should get myself a Mother's day present since I have hubby's ATM with me? Is there a bakeshop beside Hermes?)
