I'm so lucky to have such a sweet and thoughtful mother. Was so happy when my husband handed over a big DHL package last night. My mom never told me she was sending something so it was a big surprise to me. (Wait a minute! Am I not supposed to be sending her a gift. I have not managed to send her a mother's day present because of my busy schedule. Bad bad daughter! I hope my daughter doesn't end up like me...)
I have tons of new outfits for my daughter, mostly tops and leggings for summer. Some from Gap and some from Jumping Beans by Kohl's. I never heard of Jumping Beans before and it's really cute. Plus it's worth it for the price. Imagine you can buy 2 pairs of tees and leggings for only US$12. Not bad at all! My fave is the giraffe tee and capri set.
It suits my daughter since she is a giraffe herself and growing by the minute. She is able to grab things on our dining table as they are almost the same height. Sooner or later she will be taller than me! Gosh! I am not looking forward to that day.
My daughter is not only a giraffe, but also a pig... a Spiderpig! (In case you don't know what Spiderpig is, watch this video from Simpsons!) I am getting worrisome because she does not only tiptoe now... she pulls herself up and starts climbing on our bookshelf, kitchen counter, crib, etc. So her nanny really needs to watch out for her or else she will fall pretty hard on our marble floor! Ouch!
Speaking of nannies, the temp nanny did not pass the test AGAIN! So I am interviewing another one tonight. Hopefully, she will last as I am tired of having different ones at home. I feel like I have just put up an employment agency already, given the number of girls I have interviewed and spoke to over the phone. Half of the contacts on my new phone are already part-time maids. This is so tiring! At this point, I don't care anymore about any mother's day gift... a good nanny is all I want.
Okay, I take that back. A nanny is not all I want. I still want a bag, a pair of shoes (make that two!), some clothes. Where is my mother's day present?!? Maybe I should tell my hubby to start reading my blog (NOT!) The best gift I got for mother's day was actually was the good news from my boss yesterday morning. He told me the good news yesterday, I am now a regular employee (was only project-based before) so I am officially part of the workforce now! Time to celebrate!!!
Now where is the nanny? I need to make an appointment at the salon, get a massage at the spa, pick up some cupcakes, shop, shop shop... oh and I forgot, go to work hehe! Tata!
